WHAT TOURING MEANS
At BITFF, touring refers to the curated presentation of selected films across different locations, venues, or cultural programs during the edition cycle.
Touring is designed to:
-
extend the life of selected films
-
reach new and diverse audiences
-
create contextual screenings rather than one-off events
Touring programs are developed based on programming fit, venue partnerships, and audience relevance.

TOURING CONSIDERATION & FORMATS
Not all selected films are automatically included in touring programs.
Films may be considered for touring based on:
-
programming relevance
-
thematic alignment
-
audience suitability
-
logistical feasibility
Touring invitations are issued at the festival’s discretion and may occur during or after the main festival window.
BITFF touring screenings may include:
-
Curated physical screenings at cultural venues, auditoriums, or partner spaces
-
Special showcase programs aligned with regional or thematic focus
-
Select online presentations as part of extended festival programming
Screening formats vary by location and are adapted to each touring program.
As part of its touring and curatorial vision, BITFF may feature dedicated showcases or discussions exploring the role of artificial intelligence in contemporary cinema.

TOURING SCOPE
BITFF operates with a flexible, opportunity-driven touring model.
While the festival is relaunched as a U.S.-based platform, touring programs may take place across different regions and countries, depending on partnerships and opportunities available in a given edition.
There is no fixed list of touring locations, and the touring scope may vary year to year.

FILMMAKER PARTICIPATION
Touring participation is always conducted with the filmmaker's consent.
Selected filmmakers are informed in advance about:
-
proposed touring formats
-
screening context
-
location or program details
Participation in touring programs is optional and subject to mutual agreement.

TOURING & AWARDS
Touring consideration is independent of awards.
A film may:
-
receive an award without touring
-
tour without receiving an award
-
or participate in both
All touring decisions are based on curation and programming objectives.
Touring opportunities are considered from official selections only.
