About Us
Banjara International Touring Film Festival (BITFF) is a global platform for independent cinema, conceived to travel across cities, cultures, and audiences. Operated from the USA, the festival is built on a filmmaker-first philosophy and follows a hybrid exhibition model that combines online accessibility with carefully curated physical screenings.
Founded by the team behind the Navi Mumbai International Film Festival (NMIFF), BITFF draws on years of festival programming experience while introducing a renewed international outlook and a more focused, selective awards framework.
BITFF is designed to support discovery, recognition, and extended visibility for films beyond a single festival event, encouraging meaningful engagement and long-term momentum for filmmakers worldwide.

Origins & Evolution
Founded in 2014, BITFF began as a physical international film festival initiative in Navi Mumbai, India, hosting screenings and engaging filmmakers from multiple countries. Over subsequent editions, the festival expanded through curated international screenings, including editions held in Europe.
Following the global pause during the pandemic years, BITFF is now relaunching as a U.S.-based festival, formalizing its long-standing multi-location approach into a clear touring-by-design model with global participation.
